This pains me a bit, because I would like the gift copies to go out immediately. Amazon pays on the 60th day from the end of the month. Due to the payment schedule, and the needs of the business, gift copies will be distributed upon the received payment from Amazon.
If I don't implement this as policy, I'm in a position where I'm loaning personal funds to buy the gift copy, and pending reimbursement two months later. This is fine when your small and have one book on the model, but a good way to grow broke if you are going release additional titles. I may cheat this a bit, and send early when I can because that's my preference, but policy will be set to align with Amazon. I thank you for your understanding. If possible, I will change this policy in the future to a end of month gifting program as this would be greatly preferred.
